Community Connections
This programming area, not available prior to 2009-2010, encourages involvement in the local community (e.g. food shelf, a civic project, senior citizens, adopt-a-family, etc.). It
was developed to assist and encourage MNWT chapters to become significantly involved in their local communities, resulting in "community connections"; increase recognition of a chapter's joint ventures with local community organizations, and highlight the following areas:
If your District does not have a Community Connections DPM, please have your programming Vice President connect with me. Otherwise, I welcome all Community Connections LPM’s to email me. There are many exciting incentives and recognition for involvement in this programming area, and I want to be sure that I am in contact with as many of you as possible. This year community-focused projects involve families, and specifically military wives and families. The USWT Programming area this year is the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Friendship Ventures Luncheon hosted by Minnesota Women of Today at Edenwood Center on October 12, 2010.
