Records
& Recognition
Records and Recognition
is designed to help keep those important project records on file. Ideas for chapter
histories come from this area, as do awards and incentive ideas. Twice Presidents,
state delegates and executive council members complete individual entries at the
end of each year that are beneficial to the next officer in that position. The
entries are judged, and keys are awarded based on the accomplishments recorded
in the entries. She coordinates and promotes the chapters’ Success System submissions.

Forms are due postmarked
on or before April 30, 2011. |
Chapter history forms are a useful way to keep track of the year’s awards, chapter members and officers. Keeping these forms will enable quick reference when filling out forms nominating your members for different awards.
The check-off list encourages you to
find your chapters' manuals, important papers and other things that your chapter
will need sometime during the year. Did you know that each chapter has one copy
of each of the manuals available? There is a manual for each of your board members.
Do you know where your manuals are? How about your current declaration of insurance?
Do you know your chapter Federal ID number or where to find it if it is needed?
Each chapter should complete this Chapter Check-off list with your board members
and send it to our Records &
Recognition SPM.
This is a form that your
chapter should complete within 30 days of each project. Details from the project
such as expenses, materials needed, steps taken to plan the event and any ideas
or suggestions for future chairs should be included on this form. These forms,
once filled out, should be placed in your chapter's files. In the future when
your chapter wants to run this project again, the details of the project will
be right there for you to use. The form is found in the R&R Manual which each
chapter has a copy of. It is also found in the Book of Forms on Page 38. You may
also contact our Records & Recognition
SPM for this form or for more information.
Chapters want to know what other chapters
are doing. Here is your chance. When you run a project you can submit it to the
proper state program manager and to the R&R SPM. Each trimester, each SPM will
pick a project that will be recognized at convention. All projects submitted will
be add to the R&R web page.
I am still collecting ideas from chapters. Judy started this last year. Submit
your project and it will be part of the web page. Again this is aimed at sharing
what is working in our chapters.
The United States Women of Today have a program
called Project Recognition. There are two times during the year that these are accepted and judged on the
US level. These are to be submitted to the US Programming VP. Projects are entered
into one of six categories and judged according to a standard set of guidelines.
If you have completed the Project Report, you have
all the information needed to submit a US Project Recognition to the USWT. Please
contact our Records & Recognition
SPM if you would like help with submitting this to the USWT. |
